The Lord Jesus Christ repeatedly taught supernatural truths with very natural examples. Such is the case when He told Nicodemous that you must be born again. Old Nic couldn't wrap his mind around the revelation he was hearing. Regardless - Jesus continued to explain that a person must be born of the Spirit if they would hope to see the kingdom of God (John 3: 1-12).
If Jesus said that we must be born again, then those things that are associated with birth must be true as well. Conception, gestation, the birthing process, and complications to birth are all a part of the process.
The same is true in the spiritual realm.
